Dr. Liviu Luca DVM MRCVS OV-Ca

Head Veterinary Surgeon / Director

If you’re looking for a caring, skilled, and dedicated vet for your companion, you’ve found the right person. Dr. Liviu Luca graduated from the Veterinary University of Iasi, Romania in 2010, and has been practising in the UK since 2012. He has extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, birds, and reptiles, always combining professionalism with compassion. Before founding LucaVet in Market Rasen, Dr. Luca worked as Lead Vet at Welton Vets, and later as Lead Vet and Veterinary Mentor at Ashby Road Vets in Scunthorpe. During this time, he developed a reputation for delivering thorough, patient care and building trust with pets and their owners. Driven by a lifelong dream to open his own practice and create strong bonds with the local community, Dr. Luca moved with his family to Market Rasen and established LucaVet. He lives with his wife, three children, and a wonderful menagerie of rescued pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, hedgehogs, reptiles, and fish. Many of these animals have been treated for complicated health issues, reflecting his commitment to giving every pet a happy and healthy life. When not caring for animals, Dr. Luca enjoys creative projects, fitness, and kickboxing. Looking for a compassionate local vet to care for your pet? You’ve found him.

Andreea Luca

 Practice Manager /Director

My name is Andreea, and I truly love being part of an environment dedicated to animals. Throughout my life, I have shared my home with rabbits, cats, and dogs — and I could never choose a favourite, as each one has held a special place in my heart. I graduated in Law from the University of Hull and, alongside my professional role, I am a proud mother of three wonderful children. Behind the scenes, I manage the administrative and organisational side of the practice. I focus on keeping everything structured and running smoothly, supporting the team so they can concentrate fully on caring for every patient.

Leigh Quinn BSc (Hons) AnSc RVN

Head Veterinary Nurse

Leigh is a registered veterinary nurse and has worked alongside Liviu for several years prior to joining the team at Lucavet. She has worked in animal care since she was 14, starting out in the local rescue kennels. She has a rescue dog Lil, whom was going to be put to sleep due to an orthopaedic condition. However, Lil copes really well on medication. On her spare time Leigh loves swimming, cycling and running.
